Jake
Jake grew up in the southern suburbs of Minneapolis with his parents: Theresa, John and Karn, and five siblings: Emily, Hanna, Ellen, Cash, and Kacy. Jake attended college at St. Mary’s University in Winona, Minnesota. He got his first job out of college working for the US Federal Courts in Information Technology. How we met
Matt and Jake first met at a 2012 Memorial Day party. It was there they discovered they both worked at Target’s Headquarters.
They quickly started instant messaging at work, met for coffee that next week, and had their first actual “date” at Eli’s Northeast. They continued to go on dates and became exclusive and “Facebook Official” a month later during Twin Cities Pride Festival weekend. Their relationship grew that summer while meeting each other’s family and friends at various events. They first said "I love you" in Chicago that summer on their first vacation together. In December, Matt’s roommate announced she was moving out of state, so to start off the New Year, Matt gave Jake a set of keys and asked him to move in with him.
Matt proposed to Jake in February of 2016 and they married on October 1, 2016. The next day they left for a two-week honeymoon adventure in Italy.
About Us
Over the years, Matt and Jake celebrated a shared love for adventure; they love getting lost in a new city together. They've explored China, had a romantic week in Paris, toured the English countryside, been snowed-in in Canada, and try to escape winter to sunny beaches each year.
When they aren’t traveling the world, Matt and Jake enjoy spending time with their two cats and dog and touring about the brewpubs in their neighborhood - NE Mpls. Matt currently works as a Senior Manager in Target’s Marketing department. Jake has since left Target and now works as a Senior IT Project Manager for the University of Minnesota.

Matt grew up in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota with his parents Dave and Liz, Grandmother Caroline, and Sister Megan. Matt attended college at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter Minnesota and got his first job at Target Corporation. He left Target to be a foreign exchange student in Germany for one year.
